Let me explain a little about circuits and then list the HW. You may find it helpful to READ what is here.
In an electrical circuit, electrons flow like children playing ring around the rosie. Electrons in the wire, in the devices (bulbs, heaters, motors, etc.) and in the batteries start moving as soon as the switch is turned on.
Electrical current tells us how many electrons are flowing in a circuit. The letter used for current is I.
Voltage tells us how much energy the electrons are carrying in the circuits (how much water is in the buckets of the bucket brigade). The letter used for voltage is V.
Resistance tells us how difficult it is to make current flow. Items with low resistance like copper wires make it easy for electrons to flow, whereas things like heaters have high resistance. The letter used for resistance is R.
To get current, you divide Voltage by Resistance, or I = V/R.
Here is the book work about circuits that is due on Monday.
Read and take notes on pages 297-308. Don't take too many notes, just the important stuff.
Then on pages 314-315, do Vocab. #3,4,5,6,7,8,and 10 and Review #7 and 15. Plan on it taking 30-40 minutes.
I will be checking this HW and the circuit lab summary on Monday.
